Beijing Kuaishou Technology Co., Ltd. noticed a gap in the market where products were inclined towards influencers, neglecting the needs of the majority of people. This observation led to the creation of Kwai, a product designed under the concept of "Every life deserves to be seen". The application serves users all over the world, regardless of their ethnicity, color, or profession, ensuring that everyone has an equal chance to be seen.

The design team took great care to ensure the application was accessible and user-friendly. The choice of colors aligns with W3C accessible design guidelines, and the team analyzed different languages to establish precise rules for font and font size. The user interface was designed using Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Effect, and C4D, while the video production is based on AI face recognition algorithm, 3D engine, and recommendation algorithm technologies.

Kwai is not just a video application; it is a platform that allows users to explore the world from the comfort of their homes. It makes it possible for kids in India to see the snow on Mount Fuji in Japan, or for elders in slums from Brazil to view Cristo Redentor in Cidade de Deus from home. It is a testament to the power of technology and its ability to connect people across borders.

The application was given a fully responsive design over multiple screen sizes of Android and iOS-based mobile devices. It features a "For You" module, where users can swipe up to discover different videos based on the recommendation algorithm. The "Discover" function allows users to find people with similar preferences, and the "Shooting" function enables users to create various exquisite videos to gain the attention of fans.

The project, which started in January 2019, operates in more than 40 countries and regions around the world. The team members, based in Beijing, China, faced the challenge of designing a product that brings the same experience to users of different nationalities and cultures around the world. Despite the challenges, they succeeded in creating an application that allows users to understand various functions through the simplest interaction.

The hard work and innovation of the design team did not go unnoticed. Kwai was awarded Silver in A' Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design Award in 2022. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. Kwai, with its strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, truly showcases a remarkable level of excellence and introduces positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
